It is a privilege for artists to be able to create and work on their art every day, this becomes a compounded blessing when one gets the opportunity to display their work in their own gallery and have complete control over how their work is viewed. I am proud to have been able to do exactly that!
I am delighted to announce the launch of my gallery in Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), with selected artworks from my new collection, Psychomachia, currently on display.
For the look of the gallery, I wanted the space to have a simple and elegant museum-like feel to it, which is why the walls are painted with a rich blend of mahogany and deep pink. This wall paint really accentuates the golden and solid wooden frames of the paintings and helps draw in the viewers’ attention to the finer details in the paintings. Sticking with the museum theme, you will find two ottomans placed in the middle of the gallery facing the wall of paintings allowing you to have a comfortable viewing point for my artwork.
Located in DIFC’s central galleria space – Gate Avenue, I am excited with where the gallery is located the area is considered one of Dubai’s prominent art hubs with new art galleries and boutiques scheduled to open this year. It will definitely be an honour to see my artwork and gallery contribute to burgeoning art scene of Dubai.
